If you've been reading my blog for even a couple weeks, you know that I have a dear friend named Bonnie and that she is a fabulous cook. As I've mentioned before, she's won more than one cooking contest and her love of all things cooking/food related is evident in her offerings. My family and I have been on the receiving end of many of her gifts. She's just wonderful!
Last Saturday morning, she and I went out to breakfast to celebrate her birthday. A few weeks prior I had asked her to give me copies of all the recipes that she has won prizes for (cash and recognition). I made her a cute album with chipboard pages with all of her winning recipes handwritten inside. It turned out really sweet and she was very excited about it.
The kit was purchased at Archivers using Bo Bunny line of paper called Raspberry Pie. I made this in just about two hours - handwriting all the recipes was done on my lunch hour at work.
I went back to Archiver's later and bought a couple more of the little 6x6 chipboard albums. I thought these would be fun to use when I make my holiday cooking album after Christmas. It would look so cute displayed on a small easel on my kitchen counter during the Christmas season.
Just wanted you to see what I've been up to. I didn't follow the directions exactly from the kit - put a lot of my own touches into it. The back page is done like a pocket for her to slip extra recipe cards into. I also added several extra embellishments of my own. Click on any of the photos for a closer look. I'm so glad Bonnie liked it. I had lots of fun creating it!

What an adorable book! Now I want to track down one of those books and that yummy paper!

what a great album. I love the chipboard binder album. I need to find some of those to create something similar for my family with all of our holiday recipes in it.
